Terms of use
Last updated 5 October 2026. These are the rules between you and Tolong Alih, written in plain words. Tolong Alih is run by Next Novas in Malaysia.
Our promise
- We never sell your data.
- We don't ask for your phone number. If you gave us one before, we never sell, share or show it.
- No ad networks and no tracking scripts. Shops that advertise with us only see how many people viewed or tapped their ad, never who.
What we keep
- Your name and email, from sign-up or from Google.
- The car plates you add, the blocks you declare, and the messages in them.
- Your phone's alert address, so we can send you alerts.
- Where you were when you declared a block. Other drivers never see it.
Who sees what
- The other driver sees your car plate and the short message, such as "back in 15 min". They do not see your name or email.
- Our team can see the records, only to run the service and fix problems.
- The services that run the app handle your data for us: Cloudflare for hosting, Neon for the database in Singapore, and Google if you choose Google sign-in.
- To show the place name at the top of the app, your phone sends its approximate position to OpenStreetMap.
- We share your information with others only if the law requires it.
Your choices
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete everything we keep about you. Deleting removes your account, your plates and your messages. For now we do it by hand: just message us on the Contact page.
- You can remove a car in Garage, and turn alerts off in your phone's settings, at any time. If you gave us a phone number before, ask us and we will delete it.
Rules for using the app
- Only add plates of cars you drive. Don't claim someone else's plate.
- Use Declare when you have really blocked someone. Use Trace only when you are really blocked in.
- No rude or threatening messages, no spam, and no trying to find out about other people's cars or to break the app.
- We may close an account that breaks these rules.
What we can't promise
- Tolong Alih helps drivers reach each other. It can't make anyone move.
- Alerts depend on your phone, your internet and your settings, so they can be late or not arrive. In an emergency, call 999.
- We are not responsible for disputes between drivers, or for damage, fines or towing.
- We may change or stop the service. If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app if it matters.
The law
These terms follow Malaysian law.
